Credence Table.
This is where we put all of the items that will be needed for Mass.
Tabernacle. This is where the remaining Precious Body of Christ is kept.
Corporal. This one is unfolded on the Altar.
Presider’s Chair & Presider’s Table.
Lectern. This is where the Cantor leads the people in singing!
Baptismal Font.
Paschal (or Easter) Candle.
Ambo. This is where Sacred Scripture is read and the Gospel is preached.
Roman Missal, Presider’s Book, and Missalette on the Presider’s Table.
The Credence Table. It is prepared for Mass. There should also be a Corporal on top of the Pall on the Priest’s Chalice.
Ciborium. This is the large one used at Sunday Masses.
Priest’s Chalice. It has a Purificator and Pall on top of it. The Corporal also goes on top.
Flagon. This is the medium one and it holds the gift of wine for the Eucharistic Sacrifice.
Roman Missal. The Book.
Roman Missal. The Book Bearer is responsible to hold it for the Presider and to move it to and from the Altar during the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Book of The Gospels. This is carried into Mass by the Deacon or a Lector if there is no Deacon.
Presider’s Book. In it (and the Lector’s Book) is the Prayer of the Faithful.
Purificators. We need one of these for each Chalice that is used.
Cruet. This one is full of water – not Holy Water.
Purificator Bowl & Hand Towel. Some also call the towel a “finger towel”.
Chalices. These are the ones used to serve the Precious Blood of Christ during Holy Communion.
Ciboria. One is called a Ciborium. The plural is ciboria.
Books of Intentions. These are brought forward with the gifts of bread and wine after the Altar is dressed.
Procession Candles. These are used for the Opening Procession when we walk into the church from the back, for the Gospel reading, and when we leave the church during the Recessional.
Monstrance. Used to expose the Blessed Sacrament. It is not normally used at Mass.
Holy Water pail. The wand type Aspergillum is inside.

There are two types, brush type and wand type. They are used for sprinkling Holy Water.
